Consistent Parenting Advice

Are you looking for consistent parenting advice
that does and will work?

After years of parenting involvement, both with my own family and many other families too, my observation is that being a consistent parent is both vitally important and totally necessary to ensure a happy family life.

However, becoming a consistent parent is rather like trying to push water uphill if we are not consistent within our selves.

Welcome to our Home page!

Hello, I'm Helen, editor of this website.

That's me on the left of the photo, along with my eldest daughter and my grandson.

I have been a family counsellor and parent educator for many years, while also raising a family of four and becoming a proud grandmother.

I am constantly updating my education, both as a counsellor and in the field of parenting.

My Motto is -

Be Clear, Be Firm, Be Consistent

My particular emphasis is on parents' emotional growth and maturity with the focus on self esteem, addressing feelings and habits, stress, relationship issues, responsibility and change.

Raising children can bring us astonishing happiness, enormous responsibility, incredible anxiety, and the stress of constant challenges. It isn't too difficult to lose sight of what we as parents really want; happy and well adjusted children within a happy and well adjusted family.

Young families are often swamped with a mountain of parenting advice and information. Amongst the copious trends available today is an abundance of advice on parenting styles. These range from a baby-led approach to a strongly authoritarian parenting style.

Instead of suggesting yet another style, this website addresses HOW to adopt a firm, clear, consistent parenting approach. This enables you as parents, to enhance and increase your emotional well-being.
Your whole family will blossom and grow.

Do subscribe via the RSS feed on the navigation bar to keep updated as new themes are addressed.

I encourage you to Contact Me with your own stories, which could become the basis for a web page. Why not share these with me in the hope that others may be helped and inspired too.
