Hello, I'm Helen - editor of Consistent Parenting.

That's me on the left of the photo, with my eldest daughter and my grandson.

I am a family counselor, parenting educator and mother of four wonderful children. Originally from New Zealand, I'm currently living and running my own business in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Everything I write about on this website is born out of my personal experience of parenting, of my counseling practice, and through teaching consistent parenting workshops and classes.

• I believe that consistent parenting is vitally important for a happy family life. However, becoming a consistent parent is rather like trying to push water uphill if we are not consistent within our selves.
